I removed the old pump which also includes the tank fuel gage gizmo. Threw the pump away and secured a steel rod with cable ties to hold the pipe on the bottom of the pump. Inserted the pump free sender unit. Refitted the fuel tank, cut through the main fuel pipe and fuel pump wires and fitted a 3 bar external pump that works like a dream.
